FAQs

Is Botox ® cosmetic safe?
Botox® Cosmetic is FDA-approved and injections are safe when performed by a highly-experienced injector. A very fine needle is used to inject Botox ® into your facial muscles, which will decrease the muscle movement that contributes to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Am I a candidate to receive Botox?
Men and women ages 18 to 65 are good candidates for Botox® who have mild to moderate fine lines/wrinkles in the forehead, glabellar, and outer-eye areas. Patients not eligible to receive botox are those that are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a skin infection or other condition in the area to be treated, are allergic to any ingredients in Botox®, or any other botulinum toxin brand, have had a facial surgery, have difficulty swallowing, or have weakness in the forehead muscles.
What age do you have to be to receive Botox ® at RevitalMed?

The cost of Botox depends on your desired look. Each guests’ treatment plan is customized. The cost and number of units will be determined during you FREE consultation.
What should I do to prepare for my treatment?
You should make your appointment at least two weeks in advance of any special events. Avoid any blood thinners 48 hours prior to your treatment. Avoid alcohol and caffeine a week before your treatment. You’ll be asked to confirm it has been at least two weeks since your last facial or peel.
What should I expect during my treatment?
Treatments usually last between 20-45 minutes. Expect a mild pinch with each injection. Depending on the number of treatments, you can expect three to ten injections per treatment area. It takes approximately 2-4 hours for the product to settle into your muscles and take effect.
When will I see results?
You may start to see results after 2-5 days, but it take 7-10 days for the full effects of your Botox® Cosmetic injections to completely set in.
How many units will I need?
The average guest requires 16- 60 units. The number will be determined during your consultation with one of our trained practitioners.
Should I avoid any facial procedures after treatment?
Treatments such as facials, facial massages, microblading, eyebrow waxing/threading should be avoided for two weeks after treatment. You can add extra Botox® units to the same areas after 2 weeks has passed.
Are there side effects after the treatment?
Short term side effects of Botox® include bruising, a mild headache, redness and swelling at the injection site. Bruising may occur for two weeks in guests, so plan your appointment two weeks prior to any important events.
How long will Botox last?
Botox typically lasts 2-4 months on average. Most guests require a “touchup” of more units after three months.
Will Botox reverse my wrinkles?
Botox is a preventative measure that when started will prevent future lines from setting in with continued service. Botox® Cosmetic may not completely reverse the fine lines and wrinkles you already have, but will minimize them.
